About Our Ministry

Mission Statement

Spirit Alive Ministries is a Christ-centered ministry devoted to reflecting the Father’s heart in everything we do. Our purpose is to reach the world with the transformative power of God’s principles, creating a space where faith is activated by the Spirit and every individual is empowered to live a purposeful, spirit-led life.

To equip and empower believers and leaders through biblical wisdom, prayer, and practical tools—fostering sustainable family and community development, cultivating Christ-centered culture, and inspiring individuals to walk confidently in their God-given purpose while building up the body of Christ.

Vision & Leadership

We are focused on equipping the body of Christ for leadership and spiritual maturity. By providing theological depth matched with practical wisdom, we cultivate leaders who are ready to serve with integrity and lead others into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our mission extends to Mbale, Uganda, where we support local communities through meaningful outreach and sustainable partnership. This work is a direct reflection of our heart to serve and spread the hope of Christ to the ends of the earth.

Where My Story Begins

Back in 1982, I was 12 years old, going through Luther’s Small Catechism. I had already been attending church regularly and was active in Sunday school. Halfway through my two-year catechism classes, I went to a Wednesday night service at my sister’s church.

I don’t remember what the message was about, but I do remember what happened at the end.

The pastor gave an altar call. I remember thinking, I’m already a Christian. I go to church. I’m in catechism. What’s this all about?

Even though I believed I was a Christian—and outwardly I was—I had never truly given my heart to Jesus. My hand was like a chunk of iron, and it felt like a magnet was pulling it upward that I could not resist.

After the altar call, the pastor asked those who had just received Jesus to come forward so he could pray for them. I went up and stood in line. He began praying for people, starting at one end and moving down the line.

When he reached me, he simply lifted his hand to pray over me.

He didn’t touch me—but I felt the power of God come over me, and I fell backward. Ushers caught me as I fell backward. He stood there and prayed in tongues for about three minutes.

When he finished, he turned to my parents and said:

“God has a plan for his life. He needs to get in the Bible and start reading it.”

That night marked the beginning of my walk with Jesus Christ as my Savior, but He did not become my Lord until later, at about age 32.

A Call, But Not Yet a Surrender

That night, something significant happened at that altar. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what that meant, but deep down, I knew something had happened. I knew there was a call on my life. Still, for the next two decades, I lived the way I wanted to—having fun, chasing the world, drifting through my teens and twenties. My life didn’t reflect a true relationship with Christ, even though I had accepted Him. Then, in my early thirties, something shifted.

I began to sense God calling me—this time more clearly—to get serious about my walk with Him. And this time, I responded.

Growing in Faith and Leadership

I started reading the Bible consistently, learning, praying, and growing. I became passionate about leadership development and began building a leadership development business, aligning my life more intentionally with the sense that I would be on the world stage.

I did not know exactly what that looked like, but there were visions of me sharing God’s Word, the principles of Scripture, and life lessons with people around the world.

In 2009, I began working on my business degree. I graduated in 2012 with an associate’s degree in business. I then began working on my pastoral license to become a local pastor.

I was assigned to a small rural church in 2014 and then picked up another appointment in 2016 at a small local church. I had two part-time churches and was self-employed for 19 years. Even so, I knew my deeper calling and purpose were still ahead.

The Seed of Spirit Alive Ministries

In 2018, while seeking the Lord about my future, I heard the name Spirit Alive Ministries. Not knowing what it meant, I set it aside.

It wasn’t until 2022, while speaking at an outdoor event, that things began to unfold.

Unknowingly, someone was live-streaming my message on Facebook. After I finished speaking, the MC announced that I had just been invited to Uganda for a preaching crusade. Soon after, someone who would later become a board member told me that God had prompted her to share with me that the trip would be covered if  I wanted to go.

A Life-Changing Trip to Uganda

In April 2023, I traveled to Uganda for the first time.

I went with no expectations—simply an opportunity to share God’s Word. But something happened that I didn’t anticipate.

I left a piece of my heart there. I fell in love with the country and its people, deeply admiring their culture. When I left, it felt like part of me stayed behind

Obedience, Waiting, and Preparation

After returning home, I began working on the paperwork to establish Spirit Alive Ministries as a 501(c)(3). Although everything was prepared, I didn’t feel it was the right time to file, so I waited.

As time passed, I stepped away from my denomination due to doctrinal concerns and entered a new season. I even started a house church, but after a year, it became clear that it wasn’t meant to continue.

This was a season of growth, reflection, and listening.

My wife, who has faithfully stood by my side through everything, and I spent time reconnecting with our home church—a season of refreshing and renewal

The Call Back to Uganda

Then, one summer day, I received a call from Uganda.

Though I had received similar calls before and declined them, something felt different this time.

After speaking with Bishop Fred and spending time in prayer, I committed to returning.

In November 2025, I went back to Uganda—and it felt like coming home.

The pastors welcomed me with joy, and God moved powerfully during that time.

Launching Spirit Alive Ministries

After returning from that trip, I knew it was time. In March 2026, I completed the process and submitted the paperwork. By mid-April, Spirit Alive Ministries was officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization. During that same season, I also completed my book The Art & Science of Biblical Leadership

This work was born out of the notes and teachings I developed while training pastors in Uganda

Continuing the Mission

Today, I continue to share the vision God has given me.

You can purchase my book through the Shop section of this website. We’ve also developed ministry resources, including apparel, to help spread awareness and support the mission.

I’ve had opportunities to travel and speak, sharing what God is doing in Uganda and inviting others to be part of it.

Why This Matters

I share this story for one simple reason: So you can have confidence in what you’re investing in.

When you support this ministry, you are investing in God’s Kingdom.

I remain self-employed, which means your generosity directly fuels the mission—supporting the people of Uganda, equipping leaders, changing lives, and creating opportunities

The Vision Ahead

The long-term vision for Spirit Alive Ministries is to help create self-sustaining opportunities that bring lasting financial health and well-being.

Together, we can build something that continues to impact lives for generations.

The possibilities are truly endless—with your generosity.
